Yorkshire Gate Lodge is the perfect retreat for walking and biking holidays. The sympathetically-renovated and comfortable lodge offers easy access to the Yorkshire Wolds Way; a National Trail that winds through some of the most tranquil and gentle English countryside. Located in the hamlet of Raywell, you’ll be able to immerce yourself in nature and soak up the country atmosphere. Cottingham our local village (four miles away) offers a supermarket and a handful of decent pubs and restaurants. We’re also conveniently located for Beverley, Hull, York and the amazing Yorkshire Coast.

While we are pet-friendly, please keep your four-legged friends off the furniture, including the beds.
Ground Floor
Our gate lodge ground floor consistis of:
· An porch with a bench and welly stand for those muddy boots.
· An entrance area with hooks for coats, dog leads, etc.
· A cosy sitting room with sofa, armchairs and a smart TV and board games.
· A welcoming dining room with a large wooden farmhouse table and chairs.
· The kitchen then also leads on to a larder. There is everything you need to make your stay hassle-free. You will find an electric oven, electric hob, dishwasher, fridge freezer, microwave, 4 slice toaster, kettle and Nespresso coffee machine.
· The kitchen then leads onto an additional fully secure outbuilding area. Where you will find three additional rooms:
· An outside w/c with traditional high-level WC and sink (don't worry it still has heating in here).
· A laundry room with washing machine and tumble dryer, airer, ironing board, etc,
· A large storage room. This is perfect to store your bikes or walking gear.
Bedrooms
The Gate Lodge has 2 stylish and comfortable bedrooms.
· Bedroom 1 is a spacious master suite featuring a superking divan bed. This can also be set up as a twin room if requested. There is a dressing table, storage drawers and hanging rails.
· Bedroom 2 is another spacious room with twin divan beds, a dressing table and hanging rails.
· There is a locked cupboard in this room but it's just full of our extra bedding and supplies.
· We’re confident you’ll find everything you need at the gate lodge for the perfect stay including quality linen, towels, iron/board and a hairdryer.
Bathrooms
· The main bathroom is a traditional style and boasts a free standing bath. The perfect place to relax and soak after a long walk or bike ride.
· There is a large walk in shower and toilet and hand basin.
· The bathroom also has underfloor heating
Outside
· This is a rural location (no public transport) so a car is essential
· There are electric gates at the property which you will be given access to before arrival. There is plenty of parking down the side of the lodge and also along the main drive (just please don't block the drive)
· There is a generous sized patio area with comfortable outdoor seating.
· There is a large garden perfect for children or furry friends but please note this is NOT enclosed. Children and animals need to be supervised at all times.
· Guests have full use of the lodge and associated garden. The fields to the rear of the lodge are part of a private family home and aren’t included in the listing.
· For the security of our guests and the safety of our home, we have external cameras located at the front door and the electric gates.
· Smoking isn’t permitted inside or outside the lodge.
